What a great list. I think what I love most is that most of them are free or very inexpensive. They involve spending time with family. That says a lot about kids and what they really want from us as parents.
Kari Sweeten says
I believe you don’t have to spend money to have a good time. Sure it’s fun to do occasionally but I think you’re right the kids cherish the time with us the most!

Fantastic List! I used to love to fill a small swimming pool up (I’d add some hot water so the girls wouldn’t get cold) and we’d spend hours painting with water paint on each other and then washing it off. My girls learned the alphabet quickly and soon begin trying to figure out the words I would paint on them. We had so much fun and both girls excelled in school at a young age!
Kari Sweeten says
That sounds like FUN! Thanks for sharing Donna!

Going to the river as often as we can. Hubby comes home early from work, we load up a cooler with adult and kid friendly beverages, the tubes, change into our suits and less than 10 minutes later we are in the very chilly Guadalupe River.
Canyon Lake is another place we love.
A few blockbuster summer movies (Superman, Wolverine)
Probably put the tent up in the backyard.
