What is a Jelly Roll in quilting terms?
A Jelly Roll has forty 2 ½” x 44″ strips of fabric. These forty strips are layered, rolled up tight, and tied with a bow.
Jelly Rolls are wonderful and save so much time on cutting and coordinating fabrics! You can pretty much guarantee your quilt will turn out gorgeous when using them – a quilter’s dream!
The following quilt tutorials are ALL free and ALL use jelly roll pre-cuts and are easy to download…

My first attempt at a pieced quilt. I had a whole bag full of “scraps”, and wanted to make a memory quilt out of them for my sister. It turned out beautiful! Many coloured pieces on the front and a white triangle for the alternate, then my backing was a burgundy flannel fabric. Im so pleased with the result . Thank you!
